So Nica-Eric made me realize that after all these years, everyone was right. Apparently my family and I do look hispanic and can easily be misjudged. No wonder I'm always offered the Spanish menu in the US.

OMG, yes that is my sister and that is my son at age 3. When I get back home, i will send you pics and you must post them so the world can see!!! The Mandelbaum's are Hispanic!
Melanie--- I love your posts! Your trip reminds me of our 8-week trip across country. Sometimes it was so HARD (as in the insect bites) and then sometimes it was just amazing (as in Ramon). Luckily, the bites will disappear and the good memories will linger. I am just amazed at all you're accomplishing. Thanks for keeping in touch:-)
